Milos Ajcevic is a Professor of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Trieste. His research focuses on biomedical signal and image processing and clinical data analysis, with particular emphasis on neurophysiological signals, neuroimaging, the development of eHealth and telemedicine solutions, and the application of AI and machine learning in healthcare.
He received his B.Sc. degree in Electronic Engineering and, in 2012, his M.Sc. degree (summa cum laude), also in Electronic Engineering, from the University of Trieste, Italy. In 2015, he earned a Ph.D. in Information Engineering (Biomedical Engineering curriculum) from the Department of Engineering and Architecture, University of Trieste.
From 2015 to 2016, he was a postdoctoral fellow at the Department of Engineering and Architecture, University of Trieste, contributing to several projects, including PARIDE, ECRES - DiabEx, and eHealth2Patient, which focused on ICT solutions for the self-management of chronic patients. Between 2016 and 2022, he served as a postdoctoral fellow and senior research associate at the University of Florence and the University of Trieste, participating in the AirAlzh, MeMoRi-NET, CASSIA projects, and the Twin Brain H2020 project.
Since 2022, he has been an Assistant Professor at the University of Trieste, and from 2025, he will hold the position of Associate Professor in Biomedical Engineering at the same university. He is also a member of the international IFMBE group and the national AIIC and GNB groups.
